Your voice. Everywhere.
Privacy Policy

Who we are

Twinly is a Chrome Side Panel extension that reads content on your screen and generates responses in your writing voice. This policy explains what data we collect, how we store it, how we use it, and what rights you have over it.

If you have any questions about this policy, contact us at [email protected].

What data we collect

We collect only what is necessary to make Twinly work. That includes:

  • Your email address and name — collected when you create your account
  • Your voice profile — the tone keywords, guardrails, identity fields, and writing samples you provide during onboarding
  • Writing samples — text you paste or upload to help Twinly learn how you write
  • Page content — the visible text on the page you are currently viewing, read in real time when the extension is active and used only to generate a contextually relevant response
  • Account status — whether your account is active or inactive, used to control access to the extension
What we do not collect
  • We do not collect your browsing history
  • We do not collect data from pages where the extension is not actively open
  • We do not collect payment information — billing is handled entirely through Skool
  • We do not collect any data from pages you visit while the side panel is closed
How your data is stored

Your data is stored in two places:

  • Your voice profile and account information are stored securely in Supabase, a cloud database provider. Data is encrypted at rest and in transit.
  • A local copy of your voice profile is cached in chrome.storage.local on your device for performance. This data stays on your machine and is not shared.
How your data is used

Your data is used for one purpose only — to generate AI responses that sound like you.

  • Your voice profile is used to construct the instructions sent to the AI on every generation request
  • Page content is trimmed and included in each request to give the AI context about what you are responding to
  • Your account status is checked every time you open the extension to confirm your access is active

Your data is never used for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond delivering the Twinly service to you.

Third-party services

Twinly uses the following third-party services to operate:

  • Anthropic — the AI model that generates your responses. Your voice profile data and the current page context are sent to Anthropic's API on each generation request. Anthropic's privacy policy is available at anthropic.com/privacy.
  • Supabase — the database and authentication provider that stores your account and voice profile data. Supabase's privacy policy is available at supabase.com/privacy.

We do not sell your data to any third party. We do not share your data with any party beyond what is required to operate the service.

Data retention

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. If you request deletion of your account, all personal data — including your voice profile, writing samples, and account information — will be permanently deleted within 30 days of your request.

Your rights

You have the right to:

  • Request a copy of all data we hold about you
  • Request correction of any inaccurate data
  • Request permanent deletion of your account and all associated data

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at [email protected] and we will respond within 7 business days.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify active users by email before the changes take effect. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent update.
